These are the items needed to create the VR experiences described in this tutorial.

​

  • 360° camera

    • Used to film the VR experience.                                                                              

  • Tripod
    • Creates a stable platform for the camera and allows the experience to be filmed from different heights.                                                                                 
  • Smart phone
    • The phone controls the camera via the app. The photographer uses the phone to film the experience from outside of the space.                     
  • Samsung 360 app
    • Available in the Apple store as "Gear 360." At this time, there isn't an app for Android phones.                                                                                                  
  • InstaVR software
    • This software is used to create the VR experience.                                                                                           
  • ActionDirector video editor                                                                          
    • Use this to edit the 360 images, if needed.                                                           
  • Desktop computer with high speed internet access
    • Our experience is that InstaVR tends to crash when used on a laptop.     We recommend using a desktop computer for the best creative experience.
